Over the years we have found several partners with whom we share Tabgha, and in particular the Meeting Place Beit Noah.
Volunteers
Our volunteers primarily take care of the guests, the house, and the garden. Beit Noah offers our young volunteers a unique opportunity to both practice their different manual skills while meeting a variety of people from the Holy Land. Thus their voluntary service at Tabgha becomes a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please contact us directly or one of our partner organizations:
- German Association of the Holy Land, Cologne
- Shalom-Service of the Archdiocese Freiburg
- Benedictine Volunteer Corps under the auspices of St. John’s Abbey, Collegeville (Minnesota, U.S.A.)
Guest Groups
Over the years many groups have returned regularly to Tabgha and, like the seasons, have left their imprint on the Center of Encounter. We would like to mention just a few of these social institutions:
- Kfar Tikva, Village of Hope, an Israeli facility for people with disabilities
- Life Gate, from Beit Jala near Bethlehem, which cares for disabled children and youth
- The Al-Shurooq School For Blind Children, located in Bethlehem
- The Arab Society for the Physically Handicapped from Jerusalem has been one of our regular guests since the earliest days of Beit Noah.
- Groups from the refugee camp Shuafat regularly visit Tabgha.
- Harduf, an anthroposophical Kibbutz in the Galilee
- The Israeli organization Shekel in Jerusalem, which cares for people with severe disabilities.
Financial Support
A proven partner for our work in regard to content and financial support is the Arbeitsgemeinschaft katholischer-sozialer Bildungswerke (aksb) in Bonn, which works closely with ConAct, the Coordination Center for German-Israeli Youth Exchange.
