Volunteers

Tabgha is a very special place for volunteers. A whole new world opens up before them as they share the place with monks, pilgrims, and guests.

Volontäre bei der Arbeit in Beit Noah Whether as “alternative” service, as a freely donated social service or as a sabbatical period before a new stage in life: there are different forms of voluntary service. For some positions we choose the volunteers ourselves, others are chosen in cooperation with the German Association of the Holy Land, with the Arch-Diocese Freiburg (“Shalom-Boten”) or St. John's Abbey Collegeville/USA.

Possible positions include the church, shop, Beit Noah and garden, administration, maintenance, kitchen and laundry. Should you be interested, please check for open positions and contact us.

Volunteers work five days a week, for a total of 40 hours. In exchange we offer room and board. Other arrangements can be made if necessary. Most positions require a basic knowledge of the English language.

We are a small community and depend on the help of volunteers. Tabgha’s rural location provides the ideal setting for community life, where the volunteers are encouraged to share in the Benedictine life style of the monks.
